| so i havent posted in a while and thought i'd update, well really just to talk about my accounting class.
so if you're ever on uga campus you'll hear from the business majors that "accounting is the o chem of business" and i've even heard people say "accounting is the hardest class at uga". pffffttt is what i have to say about that. i'll admit, accounting requires a lot of time, i just spent an hour completing just one question of the homework assignment, and it took me 3 pages of paper, and there are 3 more of those types of questions, so yes, accounting is rather tedious and takes a lot of time, and i also studied for about 2 hours before that.and i have to know all this material by tomorrow in case we have a quiz. so yes, accounting is a pretty difficult couse.
but here's the difference between accounting and organic chemistry.. you can spend an hour on one question in accounting and you'll probably get the answer, it's not hard, just a lot of adding and subtracting and recording numbers. it's really tedious and gets really repetitive, but eventually you can find the answer. anyone that knows simple math can solve it. but you can spend an hour on an o chem question and literally get nowhere. you can figure out a series of mechanism to a chemical equation that seem to make sense and you can be completely wrong and nowhere close to the actual answer. so, speaking as someone who has taken both semesters of o chem and is currently taking accounting, i'd say that accounting is easier for sure.
and that is why i switched to business. not really, but i just have no interest in any sort of chemistry anymore and decided to do business.
